Lampwork glass bead focal made by me in my home studio. This lampwork glass butterfly bead is made with a base of translucent yellow wings which have been sprinkled with enamel and then decorated with a raised floral design in coordinating colors. It is shown next to a dime for size reference. A cute, fun, whimsical butterfly!
 
All of my handmade, lampwork glass beads are made on a 3/32" mandrel.  The bead hole is cleaned with a dremel diamond bit. The glass beads are kiln annealed for strength and durability. I use Italian, German and Chinese glass.
